Zoe Fothergill in convetsation

Zoe Fothergill’s installation Fur, Bizmuth & Spiny Oyster comprises three film works which explore the internet phenomenon of ASMR (Auto Sensory Meridian Response). Fothergill’s work celebrates physical pleasure in material engagement, exploring how desire and social dynamics are brought to bear on how and what we see and feel.

Fothergill will be In Conversation with Michael Banissy, Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Goldsmiths, whose research explores synaesthesia and aspects of non invasive brain stimulation. Both will speak on ASMR as a contested area of scientific research and its possible intersections with synaesthesia.
