The achievement of Wyn Evan’s show at the Museo Tamayo is to take an architectural space; equal parts gallery and auditorium, and to bring these identities together. On one side is the visual allure of the neon, a medium which seems to endlessly delight, on the other, is the music of nature and humanity; a concert exists between them. Review by Elliott Burns

The works in the exhibition stem from Troika’s continuing interest in the various models and belief systems used to detail and understand the world. Incorporating the opposing frameworks of technological advancement and mythology, Troika’s works investigate how the application of a purely rational and scientific method onto practical life is often at odds with the subjective and unpredictable.

Following its world premiere in Newcastle and with its current run at the Tyneside Cinema ending on the 29 October, 2017, Russian artist collective Chto Delat?’s new film, The New Deadline #17 Summer School of Orientation in Zapatism, will tour to the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC) in Mexico City. Compelling and highly charged, the film wrestles with the vast question of what it is to revolt, whether to look forward or backward and how to maintain a noble, non-egoist movement.
