‘Movement and Dance’ | What We Talk About When We Talk About Work

The forthcoming event in the What We Talk About ... series of public discussions will explore movement and dance as both a mode of performance and a method of working curatorially. Beyond a concern withcurating dance practices in a gallery context, invited speakers will consider the “choreography” of exhibitions as a space and time throughout which artworks exhort and direct an audience’s movement.Speakers include Director of The Tetley Bryony Bond, Curator at Extra City Antwerp Michiel Vandevelde and artists Maeve Rendle and Nicola Singh. The public discussion will end with the preview of a new performance piece by Maeve Rendle unfolding throughout the gallery building.
