Stage 1 - Alpha : Unreliable and erratic e.g. Bugs are crawling all over the desk
Stage 2 - Beta: Freely available but chaotic, as had been predicted
Stage 2.5 - Early adopters rapidly alter interface causing massive social division
Stage 3 - Full adoption / total integration. The environment is seamless and people are happy?

Public Exhibitions proudly presents a physical solo show and an online exhibition by Kitty Clark, curated by Valentina Fois.
A new series of works address futile desires and contemporary anxiety through the transhuman ideal of remodeling and enhancing the body by developing technologies that radically transform the human condition, augmenting human intellectual, physical, and emotional capabilities.
New site specific installations fill the gallery, extending themselves into an online presence over the duration of the exhibition. On site, a framework of engraved acrylic sculptures, constructed with bespoke 3D-printed hardware, support the severed animatronic hand of a silicone love doll incessantly tapping one finger, and a stomach breathing peacefully in spite of the screws that hold it down. Fragmented texts emerge throughout the works - fictitious business documents, role playing prompts and messages from a higher power surface briefly to present an esoteric narrative.
Wheatfield (FEEL KNOW), a 3D virtual environment simulated in real time, infinitely generates passing clouds and naturalistic wind patterns that gently blow stalks of wheat in an immersive video and sound installation. Wheatfield questions the possibility that an artificial environment may be able to increase individual consciousness and well-being, achieving a greater degree of control over our own lives and emotions, or exist purely as escapist fantasy.
