Fierce curates and produces an annual festival of live art. This festival of performance embraces everything live from theatre, music, dance to club night acts. From Tuesday 22nd - Sunday 27th March there are six days of shows, events, parties and installations across Birmingham. Artists range from the emerging to the established, from the local to the international.

This year Fierce runs side by side with Flatpack film festival. They are sharing a hangout space called The Dirty End where you can go between, during and after events. It’s also the place to pick up info, grab a bite to eat or a drink. There will also be screenings, artists talks, parties and feasts here.

Fierce Festival has been going for over a decade now. The first festival was in 1998 under the name Queerfest. In 2000 it was renamed Fierce. The last festival in 2008, was titled myFierce, the core of the program was voted for by online followers. In Autumn 2009, Laura McDermott and Harun Morrison were appointed as new joint artistic directors, this festival will be the first curated and produced in their recent directorship.
